Great site for everything Masonic, and all things relating to the esoteric.
Since I am affiliated with the G.L. of Canada, it is exciting to see some Canadian Masonic content.
This is a great vessel for the Masonic student to gather information to assist in helping in their own personal Masonic careers.

Just a passing comment.
In your piece on Masonic weddings you state that the Masonic Chain is not used in England. This is a misapprehension; it is however correct that it is not to my knowledge used during the formal meeting. (Nor do we have Masonic weddings or funerals)
The Chain is used by many Lodges following the proposal of the Initiate's Toast at the end of the Festive Board to demonstrate to the new Entered Apprentice the strength of the Masonic bond. The circle is formed outside and around the dining table or by moving to the side if the furniture is an obstruction or causes too much stretching.
The chain is formed with the arms outstretched so as to cross over the immediate neighbour so that the conductor can demonstrate that the loss of one brother does not break the chain.
It is accompanied by a fairly standard piece of ritual wording, given by the conductor, at the end of which the Toast to the Initiate is drunk and the Initiate then replies.

Fascinating information, lots to read and see. Thank you for making this available to us and the public! Just found out my great-grandfather Joseph N. Blair was a member of the IORM (?? Passaquoi Tribe in Massachusetts) in the 1920's, so learning about your organization is a wonderful way to learn more about him. Thank you.
