This early pair of hand-crafted bookends are made of mahogany and inlaid with a lighter oak or ash woods to form the Square and Compasses with the Letter "G".  Its early age can be determined by the handmade dove-tail joinery on the sides and bottoms.  They measure 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide.  Some of the most prized Masonic Artifacts are items such as this that are one-of-a-kind and made by Masons during their woodworking hobby time.
