1868 Masonic Shield Pin

Here is a fine quality 14k gold Masonic pin. This pin is shaped like a shield. There is a black enamel border along the edges, and along the compasses in the center. The square of the compass is set with tiny pearls.  Two small pearls are missing, although they are easily replaceable with small seed pearls. This pin is engraved on the reverse: "W.S.D." in Gothic script,  "Christmas" and "1868" in script. This is a very early Masonic piece of jewelry. Many Masonic pieces were made in the latter part of the 1800's and early 1900's.  It measures 3/4 inch by 11/16 inch.
