This Past Eminent Commander Cross is beautifully engraved and enameled in 14K gold. The medal is accented with red, white, black and blue enameling.  All of the enameling is in perfect condition. The medal consists of 2 pieces that are able to be separated from each other. The top piece is engraved "No. 83 BETHANY DUBOIS, PA." The bottom piece/cross is engraved on the backside:  "GEORGE F. RUMBERGER 13TH EMINENT COMMANDER OF BETHANY COMMANDERY 1912".  The cross is a Passion Cross and is the cross on which Jesus suffered crucifixion.  It is the most common form of the cross.  When rayonnant, or having rays issuing from the point of intersection of the limbs, it is the insignia of the Commander of a Commandery of Knights Templar.  The medal measures 4 1/8" in length by 2 1/8" in width. It weighs 28.3 grams and is marked 14K on the back of the hanger.
