Gillette Safety Razor

This beautiful gold plated safety razor with Shrine of North America logo on the outer box and inside the red velvet lined interior the script in the reads "presented by ARARAT TEMPLE Kansas City 1924.  It's a nice piece... Most-likely a gift/token of brotherly love and affection from the Potentate to members of his Divan!  It was made by the famous Gillette Company in the USA.

The American inventor, King Gillette, introduced the safety razor to the market on September 28, 1901.

Gillette was part of a broad socialist movement in the USA in the 1890s, who wanted to use the profits from his safety razor to finance his beliefs in a new socialist system.
