This pocket watch was manufactured by the E. Howard Watch Co. of Boston Mass. who pioneered the mass production of timepieces in America.  It is 14kt yellow gold and the bezel is rimmed with roman numerals.   The outside case bears the Square and Compasses with the bursting sun and navigators quadrant... the symbol of a Past Master of a Blue Lodge.  This watch was presented to Worshipful George H. Rueter of McKinley Lodge # 307 F. & A.M. on December 22, 1924.
