This set of Ivory Miniature Working Tools probably came home with an American G.I. after World War II.  They are hand-carved out of genuine elephant tusk by the Hakusui Ivory Company of Yokohama, Japan.  The trademark is registered by Japan and the US Government which dates it to the post war era.
