Brass powder flask featuring eagle over circle of 26
stars with pair of clasped hands (Odd Fellow) surrounded by rays and military
trophies behind a US shield; "W.S." stamped beside head of eagle on one side;
screw cap marked "N. P. AMES / 1838:" triangular rings. The flask measures
9.75-inches in length. The picture below is a modern reproduction of the
above gunpowder flask.
