1927 Ladies Powder Dish from Atlantic City

    

    

  This beautiful Ladies Powder Dish is from the 1927 Imperial Council Session which was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  It was the 53rd  annual session held on June 13, 1927 in the Auditorium of the Chelsea Hotel, Atlantic City, NJ. The outgoing Imperial Potentate was David W. Crosland (June 3, 1926 to June 16, 1927) from Alcazar Temple located in Montgomery, Alabama.  The incoming Imperial Potentate was Clarence M. Dunbar (June 16, 1927 to May 3, 1928) from Palestine Temple located in Cranston, Rhode Island.  Crescent Temple located in Trenton, New Jersey was the host temple.

The item was manufactured by Lenox and is numbered on the bottom.    It is 7" wide and 3 1/2" tall with the lid in place.  The dish is white in color with gold trim and lettering.
