This beautiful Past Masters' Jewel was presented to Worshipful Peter Schumacher of Temple Lodge No. 14 in Albany, New York in 1914.   We see lots of Past Master Jewels here at the museum, but this one is special.   The 14kt gold on the base of the jewel is hand hammered to fit around an ivory shield in a figural pattern with the compasses and quadrant containing the bursting sun in the center.  The Letter "G" and All-Seeing Eye are enameled in different shades of blue.  It is a marvelous piece of craftsmanship and I'm sure a proud possession of the Master who earned it serving his Lodge.
