How much, we may ask, is a man really worth?

He comes into the physical world, travels along the highway of life for a few years, and then lays aside the working tools of life and passes through the transition that--for want of a better term--men call death. And at his passing he takes nothing with him, all his material wealth and possessions are left behind. He takes only himself, and what he has done with his life in the development of character. So it is a fair question to ask, "What is a man really worth?" I think that the answer is that he is worth exactly what he has given away. What he has given away of his time, of his substance, of his effort, of himself. He is worth just that, and nothing more. What we give away we keep--and what we keep we lose. And so it is that the real wealth of any man consists of the countless little acts of kindness in which there is no thought of reward.

You should be able to download these materials to your computer, then transfer them by a USB cable, provided with your E-Reader. Most manufacturers want you to have the maximum ‘gathering’ capability; so that you’ll ‘stay’ with their product line. When you plug in your E-Reader, the computer should “see” it as a ‘hard drive;’ then it’s a simple matter of file drag-n-dropping. The display may not function in the fashion of a commercially purchased E-Book, with the visual ‘page flipping,’ but in theory, you should be able to at least ‘slide’ from page-to-page, as with a word processor. You should be able to either look at your manual for the best transfer technique; or download a detailed manual for your E-reader, which gives more detail. Otherwise, search the ‘net for help; with a search such as “ downloading .doc/pdf files to “X” E-Reader .” You should also have a customer ‘help’ 1-800 number in your manual. It’s also possible that you can convert the files, over the internet or with a CD which came with the E-Reader – to a more compatible format.
